We are excited for our class Christmas party tomorrow!

We have continued to practice 2-digit subtraction with and without regrouping.  We will continue this practice after Christmas break!!

Monday

The students enjoyed switching classes to learn about Christmas Around the World or Winter Holidays!

No spelling this week.

Thursday

We all enjoyed getting to see "Rise of the Guardians" this morning!!  Thank you PTO!!

We will be taking another spelling test tomorrow along with a Rocket Math quiz.

Hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner!

It has been a fun day with it being twelfth month, the twelfth day, and the twelfth year!!!

We will be going to see, "Rise of the Guardians" in the morning!!

The students will be taking a spelling test tomorrow afternoon.

Monday

The boys and girls enjoyed shopping at Secret Santa today.  Wednesday, anyone who needs to shop will get a chance to.

The spelling words for this week are the following:  bells, gift, elf, red, green, sled, snow, cookie, stocking, Santa, Claus, Christmas

We are finished in our first reading anthology so from now until Christmas break we will be doing various writings, reading multiple copy books, and reviewing any skills I feel we need a refresher on.

Friday

What a nasty rainy day!  The kids have enjoyed inside recess....a plus!

Monday is our Secret Santa shopping day at 9:00 a.m.

Thursday

We will be taking the spelling test again tomorrow.

The students are bringing home a study guide for a reading test tomorrow over, "Jamaica Louise James'".

Wednesday

We are having a lot of coughing, sneezing, and drippy noses in our classroom.....myself included!

We will be taking a spelling test tomorrow.

The students are bringing home a permission slip to go to the movies next Thursday, and information about the Secret Santa shopping.

Tuesday

Please have your child practice the story, "Jamaica Louise James", throughout this week.  We will test over the story on Friday.  Our spelling tests will be on Thursday and Friday.

Our class will be going shopping at the Secret Santa shopping area on Monday, at 9:00 a.m.  
The second graders will also get to go to a movie on Thursday, December 13.

We are working on 3-digit numbers.  Please reinforce this at home.  We will begin to add 3-digit numbers to a 2-digit number or another 3-digit number tomorrow.
