Tuesday

Your child is bringing home a paper from Mr. Cox regarding field day this year. Please read it carefully and check your calendar to see if you could come help him on that date.

Monday

Math: Our math class will be having a test tomorrow over multiplication and division. The students are bringing home a study guide today. On Wednesday we will begin Unit 4, as we skipped it after Unit 3 to go to Unit 5.

Reading: We began the story, "Moses Goes to a Concert" today. We are practicing the long sound of /i/. The following words are our spelling words this week:

sky, find, night, high, fly, try, light, dry, right, mind, eye, buy, flight, reply, why

Wednesday

Reading: We will be having a spelling test and a reading test tomorrow. The reading test will be over the story, "The Art Lesson".

Math: We just started a chapter on multiplication and division!!!!!

Tuesday

The Mid-Ohio Food Bank will be at our school tomorrow after school. Volunteers can always be used and needed to help distribute food. Bring your own bags if you are coming to get food.

Please continue to study spelling and read with your child each school night. We all realize baseball season has begun but school is still going on! Sometimes the kids think they can't do homework because they have a game or practice on a school night!!

Monday

Reading: Our class is having a spelling review list this week. The review words are the following:

Math: Our class is having a test tomorrow over adding and subtracting of 3-digit numbers. The students have a study guide to bring home today.

Reading Class: There will be a spelling test tomorrow and Friday. Our class is now working with the story, "The Art Lesson".

Math: We are working on adding and tomorrow subtracting 3-digit numbers with and without regrouping.

We are back from Easter break and ready to tackle the rest of the school year!

Monday

This week we are not having any spelling words for turning in reading logs in second grade! Happy Easter!

Our homeroom will be going to the Book Fair tomorrow at 1:10.

Grade 2 Awards Assembly will be tomorrow at 2:15. Awards will be given to all A's, all A's and B's, and perfect attendance.

If anyone wants to send in a bag of Easter candy for the students to put in their baskets please send it in by Wednesday. Thanks!!
