Math: We will be taking our test today over fractions then will begin working with numbers to 1,000!!!

Homeroom: We now have enough cleaned out, plastic, 2-liter pop bottles for our Easter craft!!! Thank you everyone!!!

Mistake-sorry!

Sorry, I just found all the study guides for the math test in a nice neat stack on my desk! They didn't get passed out today! We will delay the test for Monday!!!!

Thursday

Reading: spelling and a reading test tomorrow.....study guide was sent home yesterday.

Math: test over ch. 26 tomorrow on fractions. Kids are bringing home a study guide today.

Wednesday

Reading: Spelling test tomorrow! Also, the students are bringing home a study guide for the test over, "Carousel" for Friday. I know it's so nice outside, but the students still need to review and read.

Math: We will be ready for a test over fractions on Friday. Look for a study guide to come home tomorrow!!!! Then we will be working with numbers to 1,000!!!!!! They are so ready for this!

Tuesday

Wow! It seems like the end of May instead the first day of Spring! I am thankful Spring has arrived, as it is one of my favorite seasons.

With warm weather comes playing outside in the evening. While I totally love being outside and I want the children to enjoy the outdoors, we still have school work to do.

Reading: We are working on the story "Carousel". Please assist your child in reading this story.
We also have new spelling words and will have a test on Thursday and Friday of this week.

Math: We are working on fractions......we've actually worked on this skill all year....the kids are soooo good at it!!!!

Monday

Reading: The following are our spelling words for this week:

This week we are working on and reading the story, "Carousel". It will help your child greatly if you sit with them and help them read this story.

Thursday

Since St. Patrick's Day is Saturday, please feel free to have your child wear green to school tomorrow!

Reading logs are due tomorrow.

Wednesday

There is no spelling this week.

Tomorrow is class picture day! We are to not wear green.

Mr. Snyder announced with the unusually warm weather that we are having that the students are allowed to wear shorts to school. Normally, this rule is saved for the last grading period. Please use common sense and check the weather for each day when deciding what your child should wear to school. For the safety of your child playing on the playground and in the mulch we do not want any students wearing flip flops to school.

Tuesday

No spelling this week for our second graders.

Unfortunately, illness has struck our grade level hard again.

Thursday

Today we were to wear our favorite color.....I think you can guess what my favorite color is!!!!

Reading: Please read the story, "Jalapeno Bagels" with your child. Also, we will have another spelling test tomorrow.

Math: We are working with measurement now.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 9, is "Wear your Sunglasses Day"!!!!
