First Spelling Test Is Tomorrow!

All the students will be taking their first spelling test tomorrow! If a student gets 100% they will not need to take the test again on Friday. If a student misses one or more words on Thursday then they will get to take the test again on Friday!!

Remember, our second graders are celebrating school spirit each Friday....wear BLUE!!!!

Today was AWESOME!!

You should be very proud of your second grader! Our switching went AWESOME today!!!!! The kids thrive with routine, so do I!

Remember, the first spelling test is this Thursday!

Our class is observing a monarch!

Our classroom is currently observing a monarch caterpillar in its chrysalis stage. I believe it will emerge into a beautiful butterfly sometime this week!

All of our second grade students have their first spelling list! We are all using the same first list!

Tomorrow we start switching classes for reading and math.

We celebrated Grant's 8th birthday today!!!!

The students are bringing home their first spelling list for next week. There is no homework with this list....just have your child study as you feel necessary. The first test will be Thursday. If a child gets 100% then they do not have to take the test on Friday. If a child misses one or more words on Thursday they get a second chance to take the test again on Friday.

Our class has 24 students....13 girls and 11 boys.

The first nine weeks our class will have P.E. each day.

The First Day is Here!!!!

Wow! What an awesome start we are off to on our first day of school!!! A big thanks to those who got to come to Open House last night! It was a delight to meet you.

The kids all have got to read to me one-on-one....we have some very good readers in the class! We've read some really fun "Beginning of School" books and even completed a basic adding sheet!

Let's all get a good night sleep tonight so we can be ready for tomorrow!!!!

The Room Is All Ready!

Hello All! I've spent the last three days in professional development classes here at Adena. I am ready to meet you all next Tuesday at Open House!!

I am getting our classroom ready for a new group of second graders!!!! Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23, at 6:00 P.M.

I hope to meet some of you before then! If you see me at the Ross County Fair and know who I am, please come up and introduce yourself to me!!!
