If you did not receive a conference slip your child's teacher does not need to meet with you at this time. However, if you would like a conference please let the office and the teacher know!!!!!

Friday!

Our morning had a bit of excitement in seeing the first snowflakes of the season! However, I am not ready for any accumulation! Memories of last winter are still fresh!!

In book clubs today and centers the students eagerly made 2 blankets. Yes, I said blankets! I had purchased two cut-and-tie fleece blanket kits and the kids did a wonderful job with the instructions, cutting, and knotting. The blankets will be donated to local people who are in need of a warm blanket to sleep with.

Outerwear!

With our temperatures in the 50's and tomorrow in the 40's we all need to be aware of how our children are dressing and what coat they have. I recommend to the students that they can leave an extra pair of gloves and a toboggan or headband at school in their "cubbie" area. Our playground is a very flat area where the wind blows quite often. With the wind-chill the temperature can seem quite brisk. It may be time to check the coat closet at home and pull out items that are needed for proper outerwear!
