Our class is currently working on the selection, "Carousel". Please have your child read this story aloud each evening this week to you. Please discuss the story and look at the pictures. The students need all the practice they can get. Even though the kids work super hard in the classroom, they do need practice in reading outside of school to develop their fluency and comprehension. Thank you!

Coats this time of year!
Please use good common sense when dressing your child this time of year. Some days the temperature is such that a hooded sweatshirt is ideal to wear outside. Other days the students will need their winter coats. Remember, our morning recess is from 9:35 a.m.-9:50 a.m. This morning it was 37 degrees. All kids need a coat when the temperature is 37 degrees! Please listen to the forecast to know how to dress your child for school.
FYI: Mr. Snyder announced this morning that shorts should not be worn to school until the last nine weeks' begins. Again, use good common sense when allowing your child to wear shorts to school.
